Landmark Success In Civil Rights

Representing Employees In California and Federal Cases

Samuel F. Galici has been a formidable defender of civil rights as an attorney in both state and federal courts for over 32 years. Originally having practiced in Michigan, he began practicing in California in 1981 and soon thereafter became distinguished for establishing a tenant’s right to resist police in an unlawful eviction lockout in the landmark appellate decision in Bedi v. McMullan, and his pleadings were published in American Jurisprudence.

He went on to successfully challenge MCA Records for the illegal sale of recordings in a case that led to the largest nation-wide criminal investigation of corruption in the music business since the payola a scandal. A case that received national news coverage, it became the subject of the book written by William Knoedelseder, Stiffed: A True Story of MCA, the Music Business, and the Mafia, published by Harper.

In another widely publicized case, he defeated Breakdown Services in its state court civil action alleging unfair business practices against actors for accessing acting job listings made available only to subscriber agents and personal managers. Sam now applies his seasoned advocacy and affable style to the exclusive practice of plaintiff employment law.

Sam is the proud father of daughter, Julia, father-in-law to Kirk, and grandfather to Caroline and Sophia. He is also a 3rd generation master chef and a member of the Screen Actors Guild with acting credits in network television, motion pictures and the professional stage.
